Location

The Margaret River appellation, and in particular the sub region of Wilyabrup, was first identified as an exceptional winemaking location, following the seminal studies of Dr John Gladstones in the 1960s.

The climate, characterized by high winter rainfall and long dry summers, moderated afternoon and nighttime temperature afforded by the adjacent Indian Ocean and its breezes, and deep gravelly soils, all make Wilyabrup remarkably similar to the great Bordeaux region of France.

In the few decades since being identified, the region has forged a reputation worldwide for producing exceptional, inspirational wines, especially the Cabernet Sauvignons, Chardonnays and Semillons.
